I would caution you on Red Hat 7. I have been hearing it has some =
problems. Although I haven't gotten it installed yet to confirm that =
story.
If you can get a copy of Red Hat 6.2 I think that may be your best =
choice from others I have spoken too.

  Subject: boot disk needed

I need a boot disk for redhat 6.0 for the litetalk synthesizer in =
order to install what I have from CD. Haven't been able to get =
slackware files off the net and unpack them without running into =
checkdir errors with unzip 5.40 current version I think. This holds =
true for zipspeak.zip and also the bigslack files for both versions 7.0 =
and 7.1. The only other slackware I have on CD is 4.0 and beyond that =
there's suse and caldera open linux neither of which boot disks with =
speakup exist for any version so far as I can tell. If redhat 6.0 will =
not make a workable boot disk with speakup I'd like to know that too =
since I may be able to borrow someone's redhat 7.x CD's for a few a =
little later this month.
