Hi, Pete,

     The newer versions of Speakup allow for the inclusion of more than
one synthesizer in the kernel.
The RH7.1 bootdisks have then all.  So, to select yours, type: text
speakup_synth=ltlk
In the event your synth still isn't found you can force Speakup to the
serial port with:  text speakup_synth=ltlk speakup_ser=<number> where
0=com1, 1=com2 and so on.
